Precautions When Assembling Hydraulic Cylinders

1. Check whether there are burrs or sharp corners on the processed parts:
In the sealing technology, how to protect the life lip of the sealing ring is very important. If there is a vent hole or an oil hole on the inner wall of the cylinder, check and remove the burrs on the guide cone surface at both ends of the hole to avoid damage to the seal during installation. Check the corresponding surface that the sealing ring contacts or rubs. If there is a scratch, it needs to be ground and corrected. Otherwise, even if the sealing is replaced with a new one, the leakage of hydraulic oil cannot be prevented. When the sealing ring needs to pass through the threaded part, a layer of sealing tape can be rolled on the thread, and grease can be applied on the sealing tape before installation.
2. When installing the sealing ring, use grease with good heat resistance and anti-oxidation ability:
During the disassembly and assembly process of the hydraulic cylinder, first use washing oil or gasoline to clean each part, then dry it with compressed air, and then apply some grease on the inner surface of the dry cylinder and the sealing ring. In this way, not only the sealing ring can be easily installed, but also it can be protected from damage during assembly, and the effect is more obvious.
3. Do not install the wrong sealing direction:
Sealing is directional. For Y-shaped, V-shaped and other sealing rings, the high pressure is generally toward the lip side of the sealing ring. If it is an O-ring, there is no directionality, but there must be a protective ring behind the O-ring. When the front of the O-ring is under pressure, the protective ring on the back prevents the O-ring from being deformed and squeezed out after being compressed.
